James Magee Photography offers an array of photography services for the residential and commercial real estate industry. I work with Realtors and commercial property agents to showcases any property in its best light. Based in Frisco, Texas I serve the North Dallas area including Frisco, Allen, Carrollton, Celina, Farmers Branch, Garland, Lewisville, Little Elm, McKinney, Plano, Prosper, Richardson, and The Colony. James Magee is the owner and principle photographer for James Magee Photography. A commercial airline pilot by trade, James started a side hustle with a single drone and expanded it into James Magee Photography. His work can be seen in the real estate industry as well as TV commercials, Web Ads, Documentaries, corporate videos, and infomercials. James recently expanded into headshot photography, giving his clients the opportunity to enhance their personal brand.

As an airline pilot, I’ve been able to travel the world and always had a camera with me, not to take snapshots, but to capture content that I loved.

Having more days off a month than I knew what to do with, I was able to take my passion to a second career.

As a pilot, drone photography immediately stuck out to me because in the early days, you needed a pilot certificate to be able to operate one commercially. Although today, anyone can buy a drone and take pictures, but it takes experience and aptitude to capture compelling photos and video plus be able to navigate the complicated world of licensing, insurance and regulation.

But being a drone pilot isn’t enough in a market that needs content quickly and cost effectively. I invested heavily in DJI and Sony cameras that produce top-level quality results while being budget-friendly. Pro gear is the only way to produce content that mirrors the look viewers are used to seeing in movies and on TV. Anything less will look like a bad YouTube video.

For the Real Estate Market, I’ve developed a style that makes your listing stand out from the rest, with a minimum of time on-site. My MLS photos always include features like beautiful skies, clear windows, fire in the fireplace, and simulated TV images that other companies charge a premium for. I also typically deliver photos the next day.

In a video age, photos are not enough to effectively market your listing. I produce short-form videos that are suitable for social media and not only promote your listing, but you as an agent.

I do not limit myself to real estate photography. My passion for content creation has brought me work from production companies, Informercials, documentaries, and social media advertising. My body of work includes shoots for NFL Films, major car companies, motion picture studios, large corporations, colleges and even local car dealerships. My latest ventures include portraiture and headshot photography.

About us: James Magee is a pilot at a Major Airlines and currently fly's the Airbus 320 family of aircraft. He is Type Rated on 4 different aircraft and has been a pilot for the past 28 years. Photography has also been a passion since college and real estate allows Mr. Magee the opportunity to combine photo composition with his passion for flying.
